TAC & WORKCOVER
How TAC & WorkCover Physiotherapy Works
At Body Lab Physiotherapy, we support clients recovering from transport and workplace injuries.
Both TAC (Transport Accident Commission) and WorkCover Victoria provide funding for physiotherapy services when you’ve been injured in a transport accident or at work. This support helps cover assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and your safe return to work or normal activities.
To access physiotherapy under TAC or WorkCover, you must have:
A valid claim number
Your claim approved
Relevant documentation (e.g., GP referral or certificate of capacity)
Payment Process at Our Clinic
At Body Lab Physiotherapy, we operate on a pay-upfront model for TAC and WorkCover claims.
How Payment Works
You pay the full consultation fee at the time of your appointment.
You then submit your receipt to TAC or your WorkCover insurer for reimbursement.
Reimbursement amounts are based on the fees set by TAC/WorkCover.
A gap payment will typically apply, as our fees are higher than the scheduled rebate.
We provide itemised receipts with all details required for claiming.
Gap Payments Explained
A gap payment is the difference between:
The Body Lab consultation fee, and
The reimbursement amount set by TAC or WorkCover
Gap payments vary depending on the service type.
